Personal Injury Law

Personal injury law has been criticized over the years by many people who simply don’t understand what it’s about. I’ve heard several people denouncing my job, claiming that I cheat others out of their well earned money for shady clients seeking the all-mighty dollar. Of course, if they knew anything about my clients, they would take that back.

For instance, my latest client is an elderly woman who was mistreated everyday by her elder care worker. She lived in a home for the elderly after a heart attack that left her shaken. Since her children all lived far away and she didn’t want to move, she checked into the care home, hoping to make some friends and live out her days in peace. But she soon found herself being mistreated. One particular worker wouldn’t give her the heart pills she needed if she didn’t complement him each morning. In fact, he even went so far as to lock her into her room during lunchtime one day because she complained to the managers. She was afraid and didn’t know what to do, having no one to fight for her until I came along.

So I write this blog to ask those who look down on personal injury law a question: do you truly believe that this little old woman is a shady character out to steal someone else’s livelihood?
